INFRASTRUCTURE AS CODE

Infrastructure Defined, Reviewed and Versioned as Code

We design and implement Terraform and Ansible-based infrastructure as code, plus Git-based GitOps workflows — reusable modules, remote state management and CI/CD-integrated automation that make infrastructure changes reviewable and repeatable.

The IaC and GitOps Craft, Not Just the Tools

Writing Terraform or Ansible that works is different from writing infrastructure code that stays maintainable as a team and its infrastructure grow — module design, state management and environment structure matter as much as the resource definitions themselves.

GitOps takes this further: the desired state of infrastructure and applications lives in Git, and automated tooling reconciles the live environment to match it — so Git history becomes the single source of truth for what is actually running, and every change goes through the same review process as application code.

The Challenge

Problems This Service Solves

Infrastructure Changed by Hand

Console changes happen outside any review process, so nobody can say what changed or why.

Configuration Drift

The real environment slowly diverges from what the code says it should be.

Unsafe Shared State

Two people running infrastructure changes at once risk corrupting each other's work.

Inconsistent Environments

Dev, staging and production are configured slightly differently because nothing forces parity.

What We Provide

Capabilities Covered by This Service

01

Terraform Module Design

Build reusable, parameterized modules that encode organizational standards once.

02

Configuration Management

Use Ansible for repeatable configuration of servers and services.

03

Remote State Management

Set up safe, locked remote state for teams working on shared infrastructure.

04

GitOps Workflows

Drive infrastructure and deployments from Git as the single source of truth.

05

Infrastructure CI/CD Integration

Run plan on every change and apply only after review and approval, using GitHub Actions or similar.

06

Drift Detection

Catch infrastructure changed outside of code before it causes an incident.

How We Approach It

A Structured, Repeatable Process

1

Audit

Review existing infrastructure and any current automation.

2

Design

Plan module structure and state layout.

3

Modularize

Build reusable, standards-encoding modules.

4

Automate

Wire plan/apply and GitOps reconciliation into CI/CD.

5

Review

Establish a pull-request-based change process.

6

Maintain

Monitor for drift and evolve modules over time.

Use Cases

Where This Service Helps

Bringing existing, manually-managed infrastructure under version control
Building reusable Terraform modules across multiple environments
Setting up safe, team-shared remote state
Adopting GitOps for Kubernetes deployments
Adding infrastructure change review to an existing workflow
Why It Matters

Operational Value

Reviewable Infrastructure Changes

Every change is visible before it happens, not after.

Reduced Configuration Drift

Regular plan runs and GitOps reconciliation surface drift early.

Faster Environment Provisioning

New environments stood up from proven modules.

Consistent Environments

Dev, staging and production built from the same source.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Terraform provisions infrastructure — creating the servers, networks and databases themselves. Ansible configures what runs on top of that infrastructure. Many environments use both: Terraform to stand up resources, Ansible to configure them.
